Hi All
I am looking at getting a larger boat, possibly a centre cab Trailcraft, Fisher or a Jopalo. Only discovered the Jopalo today in a Qld Fishing News.

Has anyone heard of this boat or have any friends who own one. They look very good on the company's website. (www.jopaloboats.com)

Cheers

Hi Daniel

Of course you can come and have a fish from the Seafairey, but you never turn up?

Joking aside, the boat is at Ulladulla at present to avoid the temptation of taking it out until I finish painting inside the house. I do intend to sell it, probably minus the motor which I plan to transfer to the new boat. As I see it the Seafairey is in A1 condition with a heap of custom built features and first class gear that make it a great fishing boat so I should not have any trouble selling it.

As to the Bar Crusher, gee they are an ugly boat, they may go well but the aeshetics leave a lot to be desired.

Trailcraft are good but they will not do any mods from their standard options. As I want to get a wide console (or small centre cabin) I dont think that they will suit. But, might change my mind in the end and talk to DC or Frank to get some advice on fabricating and fitting a wide custom built console to the Profish or Tournament model Trailcraft. That could be awesome!

Cheers mate and thanks to all for the welcome to the site.

Haji

HAJI GOOD to hear from you again

WELCOME

Barcrusher look VERY industrial (yes that means ugly)

Was out in a trailcraft 4.7mtr runabout today. The overall finish is very good but as you say they do not customise them, no need they sell all they make.
The ride was very smooth considering it was not a big boat.
What did surprise me was the 60hp 4stroke. Gutless, slow, no torque but it was quite.
I too am considering a trailcraft 5.7 trailblazer but if I go a 4 stroke it will be the maximum size they give warranty.

I will also consider anybrand secondhand but love the transom door so that is a must and have not seen a lot come up.

Hi again Daniel

Yep, you guessed right, 5.2 or 5.4M it is.

Want to have one of those electrical thingies on the front if I can figure out how to get a long enough lead (from home that is) biggrin.gif

I hope that you are right about the Seafairey, it is a great boat and will suit anyone wanting to safely fish offshore. I am including the game chair etc etc. Still trying to work out a fair price but think that (without the motor) it must be worht not less than $10K. The new trailer alone cost close to $3.5 K only months ago.

Don't know why your text messages are not getting through. Give me a call on the mobile to check details.

Cheers

Haji

PS; Do you know if Tom is on this site? I miss his dry posts and enthuisiastic comments.

Thanks Poly

Top looking boats and should only use around 15,000 liters of fuel to bring them through the bight to Sydney. biggrin.gif

Seriously though, I have a head height problem with my garage which means that boats set up with non- collapsible hard tops/screens are a no no.

That is why I favour the Fisher or a modified Trailcraft Tournament. They can be built to clear the garage.
