Good one Rumpus. I remember going across the Nullabour in 1976 in the pouring rain, potholes and corrugations you could lose a VW in, and seeing the new sealed road 100m away. It wasn't opened at that time, although it was finished. Consequently the old dirt road was in lousy condition. Hope to do it again in the near future.
