Went out this afternoon to the Georges River. High tide around 1:30pm, but there was basically no current at all.

Go a few nibbles at Moon Bay, but nothing that special. Kept 1 legal bream, 2 whiting and 2 Flounders.
Moved on to Como and my cousin landed with his first throw a nice 30cm bream...u beauty.....1 minute later my son gets a 27cm bream...and i got a small one...oh damn...back she goes....but don't be disappointed i landed a legal one around 10 mins later...25cm..........As sunset hit it died down completely.

Decided to head back to the ramp and stopped at moon bay, but only small nibbles. So called it a day.

Great weather, and a safe trip back home. So i can't complain. Could be worse.

I haven't used burley for a while now.
Some people tell me that boiled rice and cat food is good burley or just bread and cat food.

Reason I asked is I've noticed you only pick up drobs & drabs when you go fushing.
You'll get a couple of OK fush but not a good bag of them.

Burley no matter what it is will produce a better haul of fush.

How are you burleying in the Bay now Jumpy, I remember you used to like cutting tiny cubes at the back of the boat and flicking one over every 30 secs or so.
Fishing one out that could get a bit tedious for me, I need a tiny cubing machine. smile.gif
My burley bucket & stick are both alloy so you can imagine the noise they make, no problem for outside fishing but I believe the noise could spook the fish in the bay or river.

My little boat dosen't even have a burly bucket & only use the burly bucket on the bigger boat when I've got fish carcass's / bread etc to put through it.

Primary bait these days is pilchards tails & just chop up the rest in small pieces as cube burley & let them float out the back
