Bought my first peice of Daiwa Gear while away last week. I was looking for a rod to match to a metalium 3000 alloy body reel I have loaded with 15lb daiwa sensor braid to use for middle of the road snapper bait fishing. I wanted a rod that felt and fished like my 3kg gear but had enough grunt to load it up hard when a bigger snapper took a floated bait in shallower water. A stop at Port Stephans Tackleworld and like always so many rods to choose from, but immidiatly when i felt the Air Edge it felt right. I managed to land some dolphin fish and some smaller snapper on the rod and love the action but also the feel of the skinny butt and reel handle setup! Wont be the last piece of Daiwa gear I buy!! Called in to see an old mate last wednesday morning, banged on the door about 9am and no answer, yelled around the back and said gday to the dogs and no answer! Guess he was sleepy from working to hard. Couldnt call as my mobile was flat! |

23.3 was the last time i remember looking while trolling out, was too rough to get moving so put some lures out and just cruised. was a lot of current and bloody storms around. Ended up heading into shore to get away from the storm but it cleared out and couldn't fish in close cause the outgoing tide and n/e wind made the water like a washing machine from 5 mile out to the shoreline..
Another boat pulled up with lives and they were casting them in, they were scoring alot more hits than i was on pillies. Got 1 hit on a soft plastic but it didnt hold. |
