have you tried the snubs from r2sea 50's an awesome bream magnet and a very enticing action..Even in the quietest of times when nothing works these fellas get follows at least and even catches..I have given jackal away for the moment and am concentrating on the r2sea range now ;)
They are coming up with some very nice lures at hard to beat prices[river2sea] I have quite a few more 12 colors all up not all have had a swim yet Good thing is there cheap also.... i transfered the images from my site if this is a problem admin let me know i will re upload them via your site{{they have watermarks is my concern}} This post has been edited by Mully: Oct 16 2007, 06:31 AM -------------------- YOU MUST SHOW RESPECT TO GET IT IN RETURN, NEVER PRESUME YOU DESERVE IT.....

Mully, I still have a good selection of River2Sea hanging in the shop and they were always ahead of Jackals, when you say they are cheap you have to put it in perspective as there is many chinese lures from $2 but most R2S start at over $10 and go to about $20 which is a far better price than Jackal, Daiwa and a few others. Their best feature is that they are all 100% perfect which I have not seen with any other Brand.

Sorry when I say cheap I mean in respect to top performing lures and quality of hooks rings etc etc ,,, a lot of lures will perform even $5.00 or $2.00 specials but the hooks and hardware on them are rubbish hook a mully or a bream and your in trouble big time with straightened hooks or busted rings...
As compared to the very good lures megabass and bassday, jackal, eco and the higher end these will perform better if not just as well and have better hardware than these $30-$40 lures Jackal have the most useless hooks and rings around without doubt and need an upgrade before you even fish them ,,bit of a let down for a $20 +++ lure isnt it. I sometimes forget to put into perspective as I'm always talking about these little plastic and wooden fish magnets... I don't know about perfect [river2sea] but there a favorite choice all round for me ,,megabass would be my first preference because there flawless and back this up in every detail,,,you just need to look closely to the detail in their lures to see what goes into these hand made and or painted lures... Again price does not determine catch I have caught fish on most things that don't even resemble a lure, consistency in catches is my leading drive to purchase them.... many Chinese copy's are crap sorry but its true and fall apart after a few catches or even casts.I have tried most of them and 9 out of ten are a letdown I expect a lot for my money and if I do pay top dollar it better be good, when you need to upgrade trebles, rings etc before you can be assured they will hold up and have already spent $20 for one then this really annoys me.unfortunately the lures perform but the hardware is rubbish and you will find this with most top dollar lures... -------------------- YOU MUST SHOW RESPECT TO GET IT IN RETURN, NEVER PRESUME YOU DESERVE IT.....

they run about 3 foot and I fish them at night or clear water days...creeks and river banks are top places for them, along a drop off or ledge in pylons around structure..You will find these are winners in this area as they wont dive deep enough to catch up on anything and they swim true [straight]..
If you own a boat use them fishing onto the bank toward you in other words cast toward the shore and work back to you...Mix up your retrieve with these fellas ,jerky erratic movement will provoke more strikes but practice will soon show you what works best... -------------------- YOU MUST SHOW RESPECT TO GET IT IN RETURN, NEVER PRESUME YOU DESERVE IT.....

Poly River2Sea lures come in all shapes and sizes with or without bibs even with metal bibs, therefore the diving capabilities range from surface lures to 30+ feet deep
