Found these soft plastic thingys in the tackle box, and thought I might give them a go. Black fish were complaining that they kept on getting fooled by the hook hidden in the cabbage weed and wanted a break, so off to the lake I went.
Took out the kayak and flicked around for a couple of hours in less than a metre of water. Silly fish kept thinking the lures were live things to eat and got caught out time and again. Caught at least three each morning along with bream, flounder and tailer. Must admit that the 78cm lizard in 2ft of water got the heart rate up. Towed the kayak around for a bit, but the bull shark that came up out of the channel and circled the yak a few times made me think - "I need a bigger boat". Great couple of weeks away and the fishing was excellent as well. Most fish were in the 40cm - 60cm range as well as a lot of throwbacks under the 40cm range. That last fish with the white belly, jumped out of the water, but I don't think it knew it was hooked. Didn't land it.

Nice Haul Klaus, the flatties love those rubber things. Lucky you didn't catch the big one with a kayak we'd find you at the North Pole

Had a whole trout for dinner the other night. It was just a part of a six course dinner, over here in Japan. It was the size of a Pillie. Hard to get a steak over here.

Went out Tuesday morning for a quick fish. Hadn't been off the rocks for almost 2 months, so it was good to enjoy the morning and bring home a few.

There's some big fish amongst that lot, so I would assume you are back in gods country. Merry Christmas to you and all members and hope to catch up in the new year IF not sooner.
I am trying to get things sorted so I can go for a fish, probably the Hacking, I took the cover off the boat to charge the batteries and it's been lousy weather ever since. -------------------- Frank
