This year guys we will be having our annual meeting at St Clair on the 16th 17th and 18th April.
There are a few of us that will be going up early probably on the Wednesday 14th to get a start on the rest of the crowd and to secure a good camping spot. It is always a good week end with lots of good story telling around the camp at night. Everybody is welcome and all will be made to feel welcome so don't be shy. It is all camping as there are no cabin to hire for comfort, however there is showers toilets and electric bbq's and good seating for comfortable meals. Hope to see a few fish OZ members up there this year. -------------------- Frank

excuse my ignorance- I have lived a sheltered life; isnt st Clair near St Marys on the way to penrith? Where is the camp grounds. Bafoo Bafoo. The St Clair I am refering to is in the Hunter Valley NSW, north of Singleton. It is a fresh water lake that holds Bass, silver perch, cat fish, and eel, probably a few more species. A group of us get together each year to have fun fish and enjoy each others company. They are generally not huge fish but it's the time spent with friends that is the main thing. It is a good camping spot with good facilities. For memory I thing it is about $17 a night per person and a once of car entry of $8, so $42 for 2 nights and I think an extra person is approx $6 per night so it's cheaper if there's a couple per car. http://www.fishnet.com.au/content/fishnet/...8f238b5edc0.jpg This post has been edited by nimrod: Feb 15 2010, 02:10 PM -------------------- Frank

Well it's getting close now and still no takers for this outing. I don't think there is going to be many people up there this trip, so all the more
fishies for me. BTW we will have permits to keep and transport any bass caught to our new holiday resort/fishing paradise and a huge transport tank will be there for us over the week end. -------------------- Frank

Well it looks like it takes a fair bit to generate any interest in a week end away fishing, never mind I will be leaving tomorrow morning
around 10 am and will log on before I go to see if any late comers have considered the trip. -------------------- Frank
