Well at least went to the waterside.
Left my place 4.30 am and got to spot X well before sun up, first time there and didn't have a clue where to fish, wind was blowing and I knew straight away it was going to be hard going. Sat in car till we could make out the surroundings, drove around a bit till we found a spot we could at least throw a lure and bait in the water, that much weed about and the drift took the bait at walking pace sideways to the beach, no chance of getting anything here so found a flat rock and had a throw around, same result weed and snags is all that happened. Home again at 10am. It was a nice drive though. All I'll say about the spot is that it was on the Central Coast. Would be a great spot with decent conditions.

Bad luck Frank. It isn't a secret spot though. Which 'X' did you fish? Looks like plenty of choices at 'X'.

None of the above, wish it looked that nice all you could make out was whitecaps where there should have been calm waters, sandbank 100 metres off shore that should act as a wave break but that may have been washed away overnight with the gale force winds we had.
Getting boat ready for a Monday attack on Botany bay.

That's right George 1 1/2 hours drive each way to be greeted with wind and rough seas. Looks a beautiful spot on Google in good conditions and a mate of a mate catches good 50-80 cm Flats there most times he fishes it, he lives in the area and can pick his times to fish it.
Don't suppose it's a big secret so the spot is Ettalong point all along the Esplanade there are easy places to park car and 50 metre walk to beach.

Should have gone woy woy straight across from the storm channel great cabbage in the channel so no need to buy bait and fish about 5-10 metres from the opening either way for blackfish , also go down blackwall road and you will find a walk way across and around the corner from the Olympic pool , great spot on the edge of sand bank at the end of path for black fish or sole and flathead also with a little dinghy go over the other side of the channel and pump for pink nippers

Reason I know this I Lived there for 5 years and always got a feed for mum to cook for breakfast.
