On Sunday morning i was rudely awaken by the Missus's yap yap dog so i thought i'd go for a Bass flick .
I arrived at the carpark to find some sort of Scout's do on , there were cars , tents , people & kyaks everywhere . :o I made my way to the spot anyway & the conditions looked pretty good , but the Yakkers made things bloody difficult , zooming past in groups of at least 5 somtimes 8 & cutting very close to the ' Bank ' i was fishing . As always i was looking over the other side kicking myself for not trying there , that's when it happened again , a massive ' BOOF ' on the surface ,so big i thought it was a BassaMundy, it was probly around 8 o'clock. This happened another 3 times , all in the same sort of area & i see it at least once every trip . What i want to know is will these fish hit a little surface lure or popper even with so much sun in the sky or should i try floating natural baits like worms & stuff out , or lastly should i try a floating flie of some sort ???? Here's a pic of the area On the other side ' under the shade of the Billabong tree's ' is where all the action is . -------------------- catch ya

that Boofing is Bass / ep's takeing food off the surface , Id be using surface plugs while waiting for a bite on ya other rod, especially in the evening or ealy morn. you will get hits in the day but not as mutch. consentrate on shady area's . remember dont be in a hurry to retreave your plug , let it sit there 5/10/15 seconds then give it a twich. repeat process. then try a few slow / medium retrieves . even though a bass wont be hungry they will have a crack out of fustration as the plug keeps going parst.
