They say fuel gets stale after 3 months, I'm not 100% convinced of that but it wouldn't hurt to replace it.
Other than that just make sure it's pumping water and your oil level is ok if applicable.
Better give it a grease and make sure it steers and goes up & down too.
Nearly forgot, jack it up & check your wheel bearings, pump up your bearing buddies if you have them.
Check your trailer lights are working.
Put your bungs in and go.

its had a about 130 litres of fuel in it for the past 6 months, it would be a shame to see that much expensive fuel go to waste,

il get it serviced and that, um bearings i did about 6 months ago but il have a look at them again

thanks for the help

I'd take a chance on the fuel, I bet you don't have a problem with it.

JG just put it under load and see how it go's, of course it will run with old fuel, but with aging the fuel 's knock factor is lowered and will damage the motor, its really cheap maintenance to change the fuel. mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif

indead u did but u are wrong and i can see J G u are not going to take my word on this one, so what will it take J.G.
in the mean time i would like u to think about the words MOTOR SPIRIT, if u don't like those two try this one BENZIEN now what happens to a motor spirit or "BENZIEN" when exposed to air.
PS, i like the smiles u posted

HAHAHAHA Fuels KNOCK Factor went out the window when they stopped using leaded fuel and started using softer metals in engine construction..

Boy some of you all are showing ya age!! HAHAHAHAHAHA

Under high compresion with good ignition the fuel will burn.. You might be forgetting that the KEY ingredieant to the whole cycle is OXYGEN and fuel is just there to create the ignition while oxygen reduced the flash point of the vapour and the high explosion..

BENZINE you speak of is added to fuel to stop assist in stopping detonation (by controlling the octane level), which is when there are two explosions in the chamber instead of a single oneThis is generally after the main ingnition, however can also be classed as pre ignition, when there is ignition BEFORE the initial fire (sometime also caused by somthing hot or glowing in the chamber) . Can also be from the mixture burning TOO fast..

Benzine is also I BELEIVE???? the main ingredeent used in most octane boosters for performance racing engines or for hyandai exels wit oversized exhausts!

I really dont think you will have a problem hustler... Im pissed as im writing this so sorry if i have talked in circle ans will prob read it tomorrow and wonder what im on about!

Should add though, a 2 stroke pre mixed fuel is a differant sotry again....

forgot to mention, IF ANYTHING, if you didnt bleed your fuel lines through your carby on the last run, the fuel/oil mixture in the carby and on the plug could foul up and cause problems, but a good run and a few revs will generally clear that. ;)

Not even gonna argue the point with you poly & if you're wondering why I went off it was those angry smilies you used.

I dont give a rats tail if anybody disagree's with what I say in any thread I quite enjoy that they dont it gets threads moving.

But when I see angry smilies well thats a different story & I'll bite back every time

While all of You are arguing about Octane Ratings and ignition knock, the smart kooky just tops up his stale fuel using premium octane fuel which freshens up the existing fuel mix making it a satisfactory standard without wasting it.
AND as for EXPLOSIONS fuel does NOT explode when ignited in a cylinder it BURNS RAPIDLY.

You are correct SUMO,

HOWEVER, In the case of detonations, there are 2 seperate explosions or the fuel burns too rapidly!

Just to add,

ex·plo·sion /ɪkˈsploʊʒən/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[ik-sploh-zhuhn] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation
–noun 1. an act or instance of exploding; a violent expansion or bursting with noise, as of gunpowder or a boiler (opposed to implosion).
2. the noise itself: The loud explosion woke them.
3. a violent outburst, as of laughter or anger.
4. a sudden, rapid, or great increase: a population explosion.
5. the burning of the mixture of fuel and air in an internal-combustion engine.
6. Phonetics. plosion.
