Had to replace the prop on my 40lb minn kota following a incident with a submerged log a few weeks ago-it broke the blade off my propellor that I had superglued back together over a year ago, I fell when climbing a muddy path with motor in hand-yep I broke the unrepaired blade off!
New one came direct from a usa manufacturer after a bit of research online on the cost of buying a original replacement, then looked into aftermarket available here. I paid $67.00 including freight from Kipawa near chicago USA. Delivery took 10 working days and it arrived this morning. New prop is bigger than the original with sharper pitch near the hub then same pitch at the mid to outer blade-also has 3 blades instead of the original 2. Hope to get out this weekend to do some wakeboarding Also fitted new transducer for DSI lowrance unit, looking forward to a water test this weekend.

I was surprised at the cost of an aftermarket prop when i had to get one for my electric motor about a year ago, seems alot for a peice of plastic haha, but i guess like anything, you get what you pay for.
Caught any Bass around Camden lately ? we're moving out there pretty soon (getting a house built in Oran Park, 10 mins down the road) and seeing i have a car/light rods/lures i'm keen on fishing for some Bass around the area. This post has been edited by quintrex101: Oct 12 2012, 09:34 AM |

Price was a little less than replacement available in australia, for the same prop I purchased price is over $100 here.
Oran park-I have been doing a lot of work between there and gregory hills. Bass @ camden-there aren't any, fish ladders have messed things up, should be better in a couple of years when their old habitat gets back to normal-all the construction has upset the bass. -------------------- AAAAHhhhhhhh, I just wanna fish!!!!

Who would have thought superglue would be strong enough to hold a prop blade, amazing stuff.

Twas only the prop that came from the usa JG. Interesting minn kota and jarvis from the same factory-why are the watersnakes so noisy? -------------------- AAAAHhhhhhhh, I just wanna fish!!!!
