Hey guys
I'm up at Port Macquarie and i'm here till friday. The weather has been good and the fishing has been even better ! i've gotten heaps of Bream and even a few Blackfish, been fishing off the breakwall, i kept trying different tactics till i found one that is pretty much firing for me now, getting lots of bream and not losing any gear, it doesn't involve a float and it doesn't involve 'smelly' bait Biggest bream so far has been 35 got him around 7ish last night (i should get to bed haha) put an awesome fight up heaps of drag running on my little stradic but managed to get him in This post has been edited by quintrex101: Apr 16 2012, 06:09 AM |

nice work dan, done a bit of fishing myself at forster over the last week, was up there for a wedding so while nic was doing girly stuff, i took wandered the shores flicking lures and plastics, has some fun with the pike on lures, would have love thetime to set one for live bait... The bream around the main wharfs were pretty cluey and took absolutly no interest in anything i threw at them, guess they were full from all the kids feeding them chips. out on the breakwall they wernt so smart though so took one home an put it straight on the bbq for lunch!

Last time I fished there about a hundred years ago the fishing was very quiet so I decided to do the girlfriend instead.
Found a big flat rock hidden from view by the people up top and got into it, things were great until a fishing trawler sneaked in from outside & the deckies started cheering me. True story but I have to say, "Don't try this yourself kids". -------------------- SEAFARER: Fine as a Fairy's Fart |

Stopped there a few times myself and caught fish off the breakwall. Only thing I can see about the place now, is that it appears to be a staging area for all the oldies, before they slip their moorings for places eternal.
