Can't believe it's November already and I'm still looking around to put a jumper on, are we ever going to warm up?, Melbourne cup already come and gone,,,, geeze didn't even see the race this year, not that I'm the slightest bit interested, but usually look at the tele and watch the race, and have a ticket in some sweep somewhere along the way,, this year it came and went as if it didn't happen.
Still looking for when Danielsun is going to announce our next social meeting ? Still waiting for the workshop to ring me and let me know my boat is ready to pick up. Paid my entry fee to this week ends Hawkesbury Classic and don't look like wetting a line. Bloody internet is as booring as all get out. Good thing I have a couple of days a week work to do or things would be looking rather dull. Think I must be getting old or something, time just seems to go by and by and by and by. Oh well I do have an old box trailer that is falling to pieces that needs restoration so might spend a few days fixing that up. Did I mention that I was still waiting and looking for when our next meeting time will take place ?. geeze November already. -------------------- Frank

I don't think you can rely on Danny to organise a get together at this time in his life, Frank. Good intentions and all. I would have been interested in getting to the Hawkesbury, but have a funeral to attend on Saturday and Sunday is also committed. Off to the rocks on Monday though At least I may have a chance of landing a few fish and will have fun doing so. Who is a member of the St George MBC? Jack? Jack? Where are you? Set a date mate and Frank and I will be there . JG may come. I will buy him a coke. Fed and Mrs Fed may even come again. Whew!! the list is growing faster than I can type.

That's what I will be doing tomorrow Paul Paul. Don't use alveys any more, got about 5 of them but never used.. I use a sea martin for my beach work, wouldn't have the energy or ability these days for an overhead cast, let alone holding up a beach rod waiting for a fish -------------------- Frank

Never growing old couldn't be a bad thing hey ? Trying to tell me something..... In my younger days I went to see a doctor for a crook back to claim compo from the place I was working. The quack told me it was fibrositis and not work related... That was in 1970 I was about 23 years old, and I NEVER want again to any doctor TILL I had 2 heart attacks now nearly 5 years ago. During this time I would refuse to take any sort of pill, not even a penodol to relieve a headacre, and firmly believed my natural body powers would fix any minor problems without relying on drugs of any type ( cept tobacco ) OH and some alcohol now and again,,,, anyway. The last 4 1/2 years since my time in hospital and having drugs pumped into my body in the form of drips and pills, I am now like a walking chemist shop and rattle when I walk. I have had all sorts of things go sour with my body since taking pillls,,, last thing I am still getting over is my Shingles,,, and now I have been told I have Prostate cancer. Seems since taking pills drugs etc my body is closing down with one thing after the other. Stay young as long as you can,,,, and don't take drugs of any sort,,, not even baccie. -------------------- Frank

Getting old ain't for sissys that's for sure Nimrod and the doctors don't make it any easier running you ragged getting tests done.
Sometimes I just say NO to them because I'm sure the tests are only to satisfy their own curiosity. I ask what he wants to do if the test is good and he says, "nothing", then I ask what what he want to do if the test is bad and he says, "nothing". I've got some vascular test next year when they shoot some radioactive crap into your arm, first your head gets real hot and about 20 seconds later your ballbag feels like it's on fire, YIKES! Last time I had it done I started getting a stiffy and it was a bit embarrassing. -------------------- SEAFARER: Fine as a Fairy's Fart |

I'm giving the ballbag test the flick next year it's only to satisfy their own curiosity.
I had my old specialist book me in for an angelogram without even telling me and when the hospital rang and started telling me to bring a toothbrush & PJs I told them to f**K off too. I still haven't had one done, keep 'em in the dark like mushrooms. -------------------- SEAFARER: Fine as a Fairy's Fart |
