Advanced notice. Believe it or not guys I am going fishing on Wed 14th Sept till 20 sept.
Going to a place that fish are known to inhabit, so hopefully I might be in with some sort of a chance to put up a report on my return. Taking the Bass boat up so only fishing the river. Targeted species, Jewies, Flathead, and whatever want's to commit hurrycurry by jumping onto my hook. -------------------- Frank

Where you going to Frank? Fed. Me and 7 mates have hired a house on Goodwood island in the Clarence river up near yamba north NSW . The house is right on the river and has tables/chairs etc outside so we can sit and have lunch etc and dangle a line in the water while eating. Hopefully I will be spending more time in my boat then in the house. This is the last trip I have planned for the year so gotta make the most of it. Of coarse I will be doing the bermi thing before xmas, but that's my 2nd home so don't count that. -------------------- Frank

Nice area Frank, its where the family and I go for our yearly holiday. Theres some nice creeks to sneak up for good size bream, monster flatties and some arm stretching jack action if your keen. Some good jew holes a little downstream of the freeway bridge-sound out the river bends as it changes a bit because of the strong tides-just up from the caravan park(fishermans village) theres a old house with some bull shark jaws hanging for you to check out and about 50-80m off the house is a very deep hole home to some toothy critters hunting jews.
Have fun mate. -------------------- AAAAHhhhhhhh, I just wanna fish!!!!

Thanks mate I will keep a note of what you have said, I'm looking for some good jewie spots and need all the help I can get as it's the first time in 40 years I have fished the area, and may well be my last time. -------------------- Frank

Just got back from 5 days at Yamba, Frank. Some nice bream and flatties (and niggers of course), but no jewies.

Was fishing the T piece, off the breakwall, when a pod of dolphins swam by, only 10ft out. They headed a school of fish into the corner of the 'T' and while a few of them kept the fish coralled, one at a time would rush in and snaffle a few. They had their backs out of the water as it was only a couple of feet deep. Amazing sight. Put the blackfish off the bite for a few minutes
