Seems to be that I only go out onto the rocks for a fish, lately and then only fish for niggers. These weed eating fish are also taken on prawns, bread, worms, lures etc, but primarilly they are vegetarians - hence the thread title.
Today was overcast and drizzling. Wind was quite strong from the SW, so I knew my little spot at Jibbon would be protected. Swell was quite impressive, looking towards Cronulla and out to the point. Watched it for a while and seeing the tide was dead low, figured I wouldn't be getting too wet. Also not ideal tide to fish on, but anyhow. Nothing happened for the first half hour, then I got a tentative down. Left the float under for 4 seconds and lifted thge rod. Hooked up but lost it at my feet. That last turn and run for the bottom catches a lot of fishos out, including me this time. The scene was repeated three times. Fish were only lightly lip hooked. I went up a size from my #8 blackfish hook and left the next down for 6 seconds before striking. On!!! A good fish too. Got him up to the surface and ping. Bit the hook off and escaped. Re-rigged and next fish was mine. Got another good down and this time I knew I had a black drummer on. Fight lasted all of about 40 seconds before he busted me off. Heck this is going great. I only wanted three fish for dinner tonight and I had already lost 5 fish. Next one was mine and the swell was strating to rush over the rocks at thigh deep. Wanted one more for the table and it came with the very next cast. Beaudy, all done. Looked at my watch and had been there 2 hours. Fish were cleaned, filleted and skinned ready to take home. The water was so clear, I could see the big niggers 'surfing' up with the swell to nip off chunks of cabbage weed. Looking promising for the next few months. One thing I noticed today, was that the fish seemed to be extra strong and took a lot longer to land than usual. Looking forward to crumbed fillets and lemon, chips and steamed veggies.

Analyzed the crim, cause there's no way in hell I was going Anulize him  Took sum time & finally nutted it out I asked myself ??? Howard Cum kk not use his goat to go fushing in ??? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm !
