Ha ha twicked yah's hysterical.gif

I opened up another can of Snappy TomMc's

Well @ last last the rain stopped falling & decided to do a sneaky sneaky once again, this time I even pulled my finger out & got an early start.

Prob because I'd decided to tow down to Bellambi instead of driving boat down the coast they'd predicted NE winds in the arvo & didn't want to punch into them.

Well wot a bunch of Wally's sea's were flat all day, anyways arrived @ the ramp around 11'ish & there were a couple of boats cleaning fush @ the tables all snappy toms & there was a rip snorta in amoungst them prob close to the 5 kg mark.

Well that gave me hope & a 22.gif

Did have a Velly GooDarus day myself once I got away from the fonsy jackets both plastics & baits were going off average size of Snappy TomMc's was around the 40 cm mark

Did however manage a pidgeon pair of this size just under 65 cm's & both went 3 . 30 kg on the scales

Had packed the camera away after thems TuTu's but had to pull it out again for pic below hysterical.gif

I use a sliding keeper hook when fushing the depth I was in & the bloody greedy bastards were either making out or both were fighting for the same bait

Oh yeah did manage a couple of good sized Mo Wong visiting from China , geez they put up a GooDarus Fight

Gotta hand it to you, that's a cracking snapper. I'd be over the moon with just one of those.

What kind of terrain are you fishing mainly by the way? Shallow reefs, washes or deeper broken ground? Fishing Bate Bay (Merries Reef namely) for some reds on monday and don't have much experience in that area. Prefer to get them on SP's, but bait's ok.

Oh, and it must have been awkward for the people watching you walking around the cleaning tables with a massive hard on. laugh.gif

Droped wun of those 5kg models a week or so back @ the boat & in the 40 meters of depth I've been fushing they really put up a GooDarus fight on the lighter tackle.

Even yesterdays fish gave me sum curry on 10kg gear the whole range of LOX rods are now in & i've been using the 7ft 10 - 15 kg sticks to bottom bounce with & think they are fantastic 4 wot i've been doing.

New 8ft Egi rod will be getting used 2mollo cause I've run out of squiddys 4 bait

Tis mainly gravel & i've been drifting over it, nice slow drifts around .5 of a knot would much prefer to anchor & cube the area but cubes would only attract the fonseys so it's a hit & miss affair with the snappy toms ewe cant keep them under the boat wunce found

Merries is ok if the fish are there but generally only around the kilo mark best anchoring with a cube trail same way I fush the bay wunce under the boat plastics will also ketch them
