Finally got motivated bloody rain of late looked like clearing so hooked up wittle goat, runing a bit late to catch tide change esp since I launched in the Hacking & still had a hike down sth to go.
Decided to have a quick flick for sum flesh squidy's 1st, fishing deeper water squidy makes Goodarus bait, didn't take long 1/2 hr & had 5 squidy's in the tank good size as well wu of them even started pullin drag on reel Flat seas saw me down on the spot in 1/2 hr sitting on 30 knots Droped baits down 1st & B4 I had a chance to rig the plastics rod I was in, then another snappy TomMc on the other rod not bad wittle reds of around 40 cm's Lost the school after that, not really bloody leather jackets were everywhere Never really got back on top of the reds again with only wun fush @ a time & ewe luv me long times in between, ended up with 5 reds best was 46 cm's Did get a few Stud sgt bakers on plastics & droped a good fish when hook pulled mid water me tinks it was a velly goodarus snapper the way it fought. Also managed Mo Wong & a couple of nice Cuttlefish, yep shells were floating everywhere tis wot the snapper come in for. Pleasant few hrs on the water lack of current would've accounted for lack of fush

There was f*ck all current yesterday, turned everything off. Went to the Peak for one kingy a few cm over legal and one 52cm snapper both on jigs. Snapper was a surprising catch, but I've seen some nice snapper on kingy style jigs before. Plenty of jackets (lost 4 jigs to them), barracouta and I even got a trumpetfish as well on the jig.
But the lack of wind made it a great day, it really backed off towards the middle of the day. QUOTE (Jumpus GooDarus) yep shells were floating everywhere tis wot the snapper come in for. What kind of shells were they? Made out of styrofoam? This post has been edited by catchnrelease: Jun 25 2010, 04:40 AM -------------------- DANCE!
