Headed out to the Bay for an afternoon fishing session with my Dad, son and brother-in-law Mohamad...
In the water around 3pm and headed to the regular spots....swell was not pretty anywhere near the heads, so we decided to fish the drums behind the protection of the tanker that was moored....it was much more comfortable here... Sounder was showing lots of small bottom fish.....Immediately from first cast the small snapper was on the bite... For the next 3 hours, we kept hooking onto these fish...i reckon we must have caught at least 50 snappers all under size...they were fun though...As we have been eating so much fish from previous catches, we weren't disappointed if we didn't have any keeper snappers.... Mohamad hooked onto a nice fish on the bream rod. It took him all around the back of the boat...i told him you have hooked a salmon...it was jumping out of the water. He has never hooked one before so he was happy when we netted it..52cm I caught 2 keeper flatheads at 55cm & 40cm.... We also hooked up on a seagull while casting , but luckily after a few retrieves it de-hooked itself... Around 7:30pm it started to poor down in the bay...after about half hour, the rain stopped and so did the bites...so we headed home very happy with the days fishing.... My phone battery went flat... but i did manage to get some pictures prior....

Very good report. Excellent fishing.
Never cared if I took a fish home just as long as I am fishing. |

Well why dont ewe lend him a pair of your Red Undies to tease the kungs in with Now we have it. The reason why you do not like King fish. It the fear from your red undies. For the rest of the fishing fellows would be best to catch king fish using squid. |
