Got the biggest bream of the season on monday night. it measured 42 cm. Caught on 2 kg line with pilchard. It was a pain on the back side to get the bait down past the choppers but did manage 8 keepers all above 35 cms. Will post the pic. Heaps of choppers caught, only one kept around 40 cm mark to smoke it. I reckon tailor tastes great when you smoke it.
But when it comes to bream, straight on the bbq with only salt, pepper and oil. nothing else. no need to mention bbq has to be a charcoal one. -------------------- Boris

Well i wouldnt be taking any fish from, say, gladesville. But this place i went is just near the harbour bridge, and you can tell with the color of the fish, also when you clean it you can tell its ok.. I still wouldnt eat fish everyday from the harbour but i wouldnt be thinking its too bad when you have couple a month

boris most peeps talk crap
The same fish that get caught up the river today are deemed contaminated The rest of the school could out the river into the harbour the very next day & be caught & they're deemed OK for human consumption. Now if ewe start growing green warts on your head let me know & I'll tell ewe that ewe should not have eaten that fush -------------------- Save The Fish, Eat a Pussy |

I'd eat it if it looked normal in real life but if it looked like the pic I wouldn't.
