Lake Mac is a tough nut to crack! Shoulda PM'd me I used to fish there quite a bit and know spots where you can get BIG BIG flatties and breamies in the summer. The bream may have buggered off by now but the big flatties would still be there. You got the bait but tisk tisk you shoulda kept them alive, the certain flats system I'm thinking about holds the big flatties and one of those herring rigged up live about 2-3ft under a small float woulda done the damage.
But for me to tell you more you have to swear to live by the catchnrelease code and catchnrelease all the big flatties and breamies. This post has been edited by catchnrelease: Apr 25 2008, 04:45 AM -------------------- DANCE!

Ah that's good young twit top but to live by the TRUE catchnrelease code all those wittle breamies must go back. Flathead are OK and like you said 55cm is a good limit but I am a strict one when it comes to the bream. They are my marlin!

Ah that's good young twit top but to live by the TRUE catchnrelease code Young twit top Are you talking from your vast experience, old catch??? Oh wait!!! You are only 3 yrs older than ginge. I believe ginge went to Port MaQuarie, not LAKE Maquarie . When are we going to see some pics of the fish you catch (and release) and get a fishing report from you? Twit top, all the jews I have caught in the Port, have come from only 2 locations. If you see Stormyll anchored up, STAY AWAY or I will have to throw old burley at you. |

I will say that you have been ok with the fishing and getting soaked is sometimes something that happens.
Jack put it very well Bummer about the weather, but you did more fishing than most of us Are you talking from your vast experience, old catch??? Oh wait!!! You are only 3 yrs older than ginge. Here is the true knowledge. Does the years of fishing or the years of catching represent knowledge? I have had years of fishing without catching and now I have years of fishing with catching. One more just to lighten it up a little. Some people I know have years fishing with out fishing. These consumers go to the seafood store and stand in line to buy the fish. I believe ginge went to Port MaQuarie, not LAKE Maquarie You say tomato and I say potato. I do not like tomatoes. |
