lazeeya858 and I decided to hit the bay for some batray action.. We got to the spot around 1:30 P.M..
We casted our bait around 1:35 P.M. and let the fun begin! Woo hoo.. 10minutes lazeeya858 gets bit, but not that strong.. That little ray just nibbled him :? No hook set or anything. For 4 hours straight WE had no bites or hookup at all! We were starting to blame the full moon!  About 6:00 PM I was near lazeeya and we were talking about fishing and the moon.. Then all a sudden.. I hear my clicker go off fast and loud!! So I run about 35 yards to get pick up my rod and set the hook! I got there around 30 seconds and picked up my rod and I let it load up while on gear then set the hook hard as I can! BENDO! HOOKUP!! *People start to watch behind me, spectators talking & eating, and asking me questions* I see my jigmaster has barely any dacron left! The runner at least took 50yards of 50# mono and 100yards of 50# dacron! I let him run until he stops! Then let the fight begin! First I thought I lost him so I decided to set the hook once again to be sure! Then all a sudden about 40feet, hes being stubborn and sucking the sand.. So I tap tap my line to piss him off  , then he comes running once more! Then I horse him in! Pretty much after he was in 10feet range, I dragged him in while lazeeya858 pulled him in by his ears!What a monster! People were taking pictures  and loaded questions that I had to answer  I have to say this is a solid 75 pounder ray.. Worse part while lazeeya taking a picture of me.. I picked it up and I felt its stinger hitting my knee TWICE! I was like " i think I got stung ".. and some old women said you need alcohol?, and I said "no thank you, im fine " Woah.. I almost got punctured BADLY and turned out to be a scratch from the batrays stinger :x The End Picture time:  WOO HOO 75#!  Yeah hes my baby!  Ouch :cry: I hope im fine! -------------------- When you don't catch a fish end of the day.. It will sure pay off in another day - NiTeHawK

You will have that spot swollen up for 2-3 days! And soo much pain you need to take 600-800 MG of pain reliever! i would nt muck around with rays at all i have hooked a few in the past if i know they are rays i cut the line no playin around my friend...................I can still hear steve erwin echoing in my head dont do it dave DONT DO IT ..........BUT MUST SAY NICE PICS ...
