Heading up to the mighty Hawkesbury to climb aboard the houseboat for 2 1/2 days fishing in freezing Waratah bay.
Will put up a report on my return Sunday arvo or Monday. Not real hopeful this trip as recent reports haven't been favourable. But always a great time meeting up with old friends. -------------------- Frank

It will be mighty cold in the mornings, Frank. Even all day today, was very cold. Have a great social time and hope you get a few good fish.

I hear the hairtail are there in numbers now mate... Hope you got a few Nothing could be further from the truth. Wind blew in our faces all bloody week end and we soaked baits for hours on end and nothing to be seen, plenty of cocny bream and baby squire but the baits set for hairtail were untouched. We spent some time at different ramps and there were NO hairtail reported from any boat the whole week end. Whoever is saying they are about must be trying to sell bait and hooks etc. -------------------- Frank

The main part did you enjoy yourself. Sure did. This year there were only 7 of us instead of the usual 10 but the comfort level was better as each person had a full size bed without sharing. There was that much food that a lot was taken home steak snitzal eggs bacon, could have had another day with the food left over, we had bacon eggs and sausages for breaky as well as toast etc steak etc for dinner and tea was steak or snitzal with baked potatoes and pumpkin beans etc etc etc followed by double serving of fruit salad and ice cream, Heaps of nibblies cabanossi cheese pickled onions. It seemed all we done was munch out, as soon as breaky was finished we were preparing for lunch with nibblies in between. Yes you could say we enjoyed ourselves. -------------------- Frank
