Snuck out again this arvo did a Sneaky Sneaky Let's go fishing tricky
Down the ramp just b4 1pm ran into a few guys i knew just coming in with not to much luck Went & parked the car & upon returning to wharf another goat had pulled in quick look not hard to miss was a wittle stripped stickhead laying in the back, Anyways off I went thought I'd stop off & spin up a few squiddy's 1st, just for strip bait, turn of the tide was around 4pm so had time up my sleeve. Dont know where it came from but there was swell in the Bay & not small either no wind the swell was a pussycat just rollers but boy wasn't the Bommy Pumping with curlers @ the end of the sets. Took about 40 minutes to get the 1st bite nice wittle pan sized red traffic was constant after that & numerous times both rods going off @ once & me scrating my head as to which wun to pick up. As the tiode slowed it got worse cause now I also had the SP rod out Actually got quite a few salmon as well good fun but a pain in the butt Also got a couple of sand flatwuns on the SP's but geez they were teeny weeny wittle wuns Couldn't work out wot had taken wun of the next baits could feel the weight but wasn't fighting all that well bastart of a thing tangled the other line Squid did the trick when the Brimski's decided to finally rock up A 3" atomic worm was 2days choice in the SP department & it did catch quite a few wittle fishy's Water temp has jumped up since last tuesday which would explain the absence of trelly but the best thing about 2day was very few wee wittle snappers knocking off the baits only got 10 under legal size & they were only a cm or 2 under as well -------------------- Save The Fish, Eat a Pussy |

I hope MY lighter runs out of gas & you're hanging out all day for a smoke, at least I still had my red undies after you left.

Them some thumping Reds your mate got there J. You know what the big one weighed?
There are some thumpers out there lately when the water drops to 20-21 degrees, but then the next day its back up to 23 and they off the bite. |

Been a few 4-5 kg ones about lately.
I did get busted off on Sunday twice by Snapper. I still wont go heavier on my trace.... Did Steves ground have a name, or just a mark? As soon as i get a breather we organise a session up here. Reds will start firing soon, especially after the swell and southerlies. So long as we have abit of current thrown into the mix.. |

Top grounds in that circle, seriously.
About a dozen quality spots in that vicinity. |

Yeah it looked like good ground so I homeworked it B4 I went out the night B4
Also moved 4 times on the day mainly in a bid to get away from the rubbish fish & did so in the deeper water except for the kungs which were everywhere Fishing was exeptionally tuff with no current, couldn't fish floaters cause the rubbish & kungs scoffed the baits, put on a split shot sized running ball sinker & leave bait out to long ended up in a snag. Could see the snapper on the sounder just schoolies trick was getting the bait to them & they weren't interested in plastics Also didn't like coming back into Syd Habour in the dark navtronics card in the Raymarine is no where as good as the C Map in my Furuno on the big boat & I nearly hit an unlit pole on the way in -------------------- Save The Fish, Eat a Pussy |

The problem with those grounds at the front is the massive amount of Sweep and Mados.
Try plan your session in the late arvo through to the evening. The rubbish goes off the bight then, but the Tailor may piss you off majority of the time. As soon as you travel wider this time of year you have to contend with the Jackets!!! But it is awesome ground there. Anything from 14 to 35 metres has quality. In summer it gets thrashed with boat traffic, but now in winter 90% of the fishos dont get out and its my favourite area. Where did you launch from? Big boat or mini me? |

I thought the circles were only visable in crop fields not the ocean.
Jed, try wearing the polaroids - it may make it more clear. Bafoo |
