are you wondering why this question is not being asked on a yak site like kfdu the answer is easy, I respect the advice I get from you lot, even when we are mucking around we will first give an honest opinion so please take the time to have a look, even better if you are using railblaza tell me your impressions of the product.

What stuff do you need to mount Poly?
I saw KK's kayak the other day, man that's one big arse yak, you could spend $1000s fitting that out.

Fed, 2 rod holder forward, for trolling to start with, then whenI get a sounder I will need a mount for that plus possum thinks a safety flag would be a good idea as the yaks are dark green in color and very low profile

yep will do, we will have a fish here in the lake tomorrow, wont be trying that hard, more a case of getting used to the yaks and working out were to put things.

Had my yak for a year and a half poly, still tinkering. So far have added sounder, 2 extra rod holders(have 2 at the sides and 2 rear for trolling/storage), extra bungy straps at side for rod storage, larger rear hatch for battery, home made mount for 55lb electric, cord and clips for rods.

Spend a bit of time on the water fishing and you will soon sort out what you need to take and where it is convenient to have it close to hand.

hay mate how telling us what brand of yak you have, and some photos of that motor mount would be good plus the rest of the boat of course

Poly. I would suggest the first thing you add to it is the flag, as jason said, use it a couple of times and you will work out where to fit everything.
Those accessories look tempting, but don't get sucked into buying stuff you will never use.
How easy is it to gain access to inner panels for fastening nuts onto bolts ?, don't use screws.

i have all ready ordered two flags frank, they should arrive next week as for access to the inside of the yak, its great

So you don't have to paddle Poly, KK's Yak will take a sail but it's got me beat how they work without a keel unless you can only go downwind with them.

What do you do if you fall over, can you get back in or do you have to go to the shore & start again.

I have to say it's not my kind of boating.

How do you pee, I think standing up would tricky and shooting over the side from a sitting position although funny would surely be a disaster. What about the Missus? YIKES! Secret Women's Business.

As far as your deck fittings go I'd wait until I'd used it quite a few times before screwing on any extra junk aside from the safety flag, I'd even try & jury rig that for a while.

Fed this is one way to fit a motor but it may be a bit on the expensive side
