Hey Guys,
Went out for a quick afternoon session at my usual spots again. Weather was perfect with hardly any wind and calm waters. Had some issues initially with the outboard not starting, which thankfully only turned out to be some water in the fuel tank. (this was from the storm over the weekend) Arrived in the water at 5pm and headed to spot 1 which was quiet. After half an hour, moved to spot 2 where we remained for the next 2 hours... After about 15 minutes later a boat arrives near me with the driver yelling out, is that you Majed...lol and behold, it was the one and only Jumpus himself with Dave (Catch22). It was the first time we have met in person. We had a good chat and i got lots of tips about boating and fishing.....i didn't have much food on board so i threw across to Dave an omelete sandwich. Next time hopefully i will have some homus.... Thanks guys for a great chat.....hopefully we can all go fishing as a group.... I was with my dad and my cousin Ahmed. Ahmed boated the first fish which was a 36cm flathead....then we started to bring in some nice Bream which were from 27cm to 31cm. We also bagged a couple of nice Trevally's around the 33 - 36cm mark...Ahmed also hooked a huge flathead which was really fighting. I got the net ready, when it popped its head out of the water and went bersek and unhooked itself. Boy was Ahmed filthy on losing it. He was adamant that he would hook it again. I could not believe it, the next cast Ahmed hooks it again and this time it was netted. It was a beauty 65cm flathead which weighed 1.6kg. All in all we had a top quick session which gave Ahmed a nice 4.5kg feed....... This time i had witnesses to our catch.....just ask Jumpus and Dave....Thanks also for the pics....

See we have another source telling how excited Majed gets when he lands a fish.
I am not too sure how Ahmed goes when he fishers. |

I should say to Majed well done on your catch before we get too far in bagging him.
I must say that I got two stories of the meet between Majed and Jumpus. I spoke to Majed this morning and I met up with Jumpus this afternoon. Very good yarn on a number of topics. One of those topics was Majednised. |

Majed, do you buy your fuel from the same place as Jumpus? he was having that water in his fuel problem. I used to live in Brighton- Le - Sands many moons ago and back then there were some dodgy petrol stations.

Majed, do you buy your fuel from the same place as Jumpus? he was having that water in his fuel problem. I used to live in Brighton- Le - Sands many moons ago and back then there were some dodgy petrol stations. I buy my fuel from Henry Lawson Dr Milperra. Never had problems. Water definitely got into the tank via the breather in the cap when the tarp collapsed into the boat due to the volume of water from the storm over the weekend. -------------------- FISHING beats Working
