I said yesterday that I did not have anything to do and today was like wow again nothing to do.
You guessed it. I went fishing. This time I was going to target the rocks and had to be low tide. Went to the first location and sat there watching the waves. One set over the top every 2 minutes or so. Not too bad I can sit a little higher. Went back to the car got my stuff together and started heading out. One big wave. Another 5 seconds another wave. Time to check again. This is not stopping. The wind changed and it was my exit point that was going to be a problem. I returned to the car and packed up. Drove to another location Molineaux Point (Sydney). The wind was south and so I had cover from where I was going to fish from. I saw another person fishing from the waters edge and he was targeting Rock Blackfish. He was there for an hour and said that he did not catch anything so far. In about 15 minutes I caught one on a prawn. It was only 25cm so back it went. I was catching Bream, Snapper, Mado, Wrasse? and another two more Blackfish. It was a lot of fun. Two people on a dingy not far from me had caught a Kingfish. Took a while to bring this in and once they did they showed me and put it back. I can not tell you how long it was but could have been under 65cm. I left a little after that. |

If there are blokes close to you catching small kingfish, start throwing lures (Sluggos od other stickbait SP's for example) and get into them. Poppers are also good. Metal lures don't work for me.

I only took fresh bait with me and the Fresh bait was frozen. I have only started to use soft plastics. |

QUOTE Two people on a dingy not far from me had caught a Kingfish. Yep it's generally good during the week not many boats @ all come the weekend anything up to 30 boats around that point they sit there waiting for the kungs to show up. Would've been a nice day out on the water today Christos I drove past the bay -------------------- Save The Fish, Eat a Pussy |
