Just had my second trip to the Whitsundays for 2008, and what a beautiful place it is. If anyone is thinking of heading North for a few weeks, then this is one nice place for relaxing, sightseeing and of course, fishing.
The waters are magnificent, with lots of close by islands, loads of turtles and fish life and a wonderful winter climate. Here's a couple of pics of the area I stayed at - Repulse Bay/Laguna Quays out of Proserpine.
Laguna Quays ramp.
Phil and his Polycraft in Repulse Bay. South Repulse Island Turtle sunbaking. Peter Faust Dam. Barra fishing Dam wall.
Absolutely a delight just to look at the photos, It would be great to spend some time, as you did, cruising the area.
Who cares if the fish came to the party or not.
I am going to Awoonga in early September for a week or so. I know it don't compare with the beauty of your photos but still, I am very much looking forward to it.
Thanks for sharing the scenery with us.

looks good kk, next year u should take the boat and stay for a month or two might even come up to give u a hand with that tin anomaly of yours
That title is already in use. I have told you not to put the Sundae between your legs as you drive. That's what cup holders are for.
Or then again ....... maybe that is WHY you buy the Sundaes at Maccas. Hmmmmm.
