Fishing oz style _ Outings _ Lake Stclair 1-3 April

Posted by: nimrod Mar 16 2011, 04:02 PM

OK guys it's that time of the year coming up that I and a few others go up to Lake StClair and fish for mainly Bass.
There are already a few members of this site that are going but I thought i would throw out an open invitation to those who don't know about the event.
Lake StClair is about a 30 minute drive north of Singleton and it is camping only, there are no cabins or vans to hire on the site. Fees are reasonable at $16 a night for 2 people + a once of fee for the car of $7 so a couple of guys sharing a site with as many tents as you like ( each person could have their own tent and still only pay half the $16 ) can have a really cheap week end camping, ladies and children are more then welcome and we do try to kerb our tongues when a lady is present.
The fishing is as good as you are a fisher person, no excuse that the place hasn't got any decent fish in it, they are there if you know how to catch them. There is amemities blocks there and showers as well as electric BBQ's and a comfortable set up of table and chairs for those who don't want to sit on a log. Firewood is a problem but we do a bush bash and try and gather supplies, but bring some from home and it's welcome.
I will be getting there on the Wednesday and 2 or 3 other guys are arriving on the wednesday as well, to set up camp and claim a good spot.
I would like to see a few more people from here up there this year, and sorry for the late notice.
We also have a raffle, so anyone interested in that can contact me for more details.
I might put up a seperate thread for that at a later stage if OK with the ADMIN to do so ?.

KK If you wanted to come this year with me it would only cost you what you eat.
I'm going up anyway, might as well have your weight in the car as well, the site fees I pay covers 2 persons so I,m not out of pocket there, and as yet I am all alone in my boat ( the guy I usually have in my boat has cancelled, so have a good hard think about it and you are more then welcome to come as my guest If you want. And I have spare tents.

Is you car lopsided Frank, if not it will be with KK in it. Gotta be worth an extra hundred or so to transport that weight.
I thought you were giving boating a miss, chuck a Poly & get a canoe mate.
