Fishing oz style _ Fishing Reports _ First Fish For 2017

Caught a few today. Spur of the moment decision to go for a fish this morning. A quick rock fishing session is just that - quick, no mess and generally ending up with a feed. The rain was bucketing down last night, so it was doubtful, but at 4am it was clear so I went to a spot within view of Boat Harbour, Kurnell, which I hadn't fished for a while. Swell was good, only washing through at ankle depth, with a few at knee high. Hooked a good fish pretty well within seconds of the float hitting the water but dropped it near the ledge, after it realised it was hooked. There were periods of action, with multiple hookups and periods of no downs for ages. all in all, a great few hours with a couple of mates. When the three of us left, I had 7, John had 5 and Bob had 1. The fish in the photos have had their throats cut and have lost their colour, but they wouldn't lay still for a photo. Lots of fish around at the moment.

Yeah! Red throat Niggers my favorite kind, well done once again you sure are the champ , thanks for sharing and keeping the board alive a while longer.

I might actually go fishing sometime this year!!!!.

Went off the rocks yesterday. Got a few. There were loads of surface fish feeding on bait, within casting distance, but I only had nigger gear. A lot of boats trolling and landing fish. Kingies and tuna, I think.

My car blew up down the south coast so I will have to sell my boat so I can buy another car. So I will be land based from now on so might have to tag
along with you one day and you can show me how to go about catching a feed of niggers.
At the moment I am carless.
