Fishing oz style _ Fishing Reports _ Niggers And Pigs

What is going on with this weather? Got sunburnt again today. Had a leisurely start to the day, arriving at the rocks around 9.20am.
The cabbage has grown back quite well at this spot, having been smashed by big seas and rain over the past month or so. Baited up and cast in. Down and hooked up in the first 30 seconds. Beaudy. There was no-one else within sight, apart from boat fishos further out and the water, swell and weather were absolutely perfect. I landed 6 fish in the first 15 minutes, all around the 40cm mark. Downs were mostly tentative again as per the past few weeks, but a few smashed the bait and ripped the float downwards. Gotta love that feeling. Another mate, Ray, rolled up and we had a chat and an apple before heading back down to the water. The fish had slowed a bit and I dropped a few which were lightly hooked. Ray got busted off by a nice pig and I landed a big drummer - shame it was silver. We stayed for another hour and I ended up with 11 fish whilst Ray got 3. A good morning session and a feed for my family and a couple of friends. Saw some big schools of blackfish swimming and tumbling around near the floats but they were more interested in breeding than feeding. Lots of sauries clearing the water too, as bigger predators smashed the bait schools. Saw some big tailer and a few bonnies swim past the platform. What a magnificent coastline we have and great weather at the present time. Get out and catch a few.

we are well used to the cold Fed, what with living in Canberra all, it was just one degree this morning and a winter morning can get down to mines 10 degrees
